COURSE OUTLINE
Step 1
Theory
You will first complete the theory section of the course via e-learning using materials provided by PADI. These materials include vital information on the basic principles of scuba diving, an introduction to the underwater world, key skills and equipment and thorough explanations on the protocols and procedures in diving. A test is to be completed at the end of the e-learning and a passing grade is required for you to proceed to the next step.
Step 2
Pool session
You will experience a pool session before doing open dives during the weekend trip. During the pool session, you will learn about and familarise with your equipment, practise breathing underwater and other basic diving skills that were covered in your theory e-learning. You will also learn safety protocols in any possible situation and practice them. These skills will be tested during your open dives.
Step 3
Weekend Trip
You will travel up to your selected destination for a weekend trip (3D2N) to complete your Open Water Diver course. During this trip, you will complete 4-5 open water scuba dives and demonstrate skills learned during the pool session for the instructor to validate your skill. At the end of the dives, you will learn to record in your dive book. You can then expect to receive your PADI electronic Open Water Diver license card in a day.
